Stage guests and honorees will arrive at the Box Office at 9:30 a.m. Doors to the Box Office will open at 8:30 a.m. for students and faculty who wish to arrive early, and at the Main Entrance for guests. The ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. and is expected to last approximately two hours.

Security Procedures at Verizon Arena   Due to the strict arena security procedures and required scanning of every item, students are strongly encouraged to leave purses/bags at home or secure in vehicles before entering the security line to speed up the process for everyone. Backpacks, computer bags, briefcases, presents, balloons and flowers, posters or signs, air horns or bullhorns, and noisemakers are NOT allowed inside the arena. Exceptions will be made for those with medical needs, who must enter from the Box Office.  Phones, keys, cameras, bags and any metal objects are allowed but must be placed on the inspection table. Coins, wallets, belts, watches and jewelry may remain on one’s person although the fewer items, the faster the entry process will be. Guests bringing small purses or bags should plan to arrive early and expect to have all bags scanned. Any items not allowed in the arena will be confiscated and cannot be retrieved.

Public Admission   There is open seating for family and friends to attend the ceremony — no ticket is required. Family members and the public should use the main entrance facing the corner of Verizon Arena Way and Washington Avenue. Doors open to the public at the Main Entrance at 1 p.m. Those who have special needs or wish to avoid the crowd should plan to arrive early.

Wheelchair Accessible Entrance and Seats    The main entrance to Verizon Arena has a ramp in addition to stairs. Persons who are unable to use the stairs or the ramp at the main entrance to the arena (such as those in a wheelchair) should plan to arrive early and enter through the Box Office entrance, at street level on Washington Street. This entrance is designated for faculty and student use, but may also be used for those individuals who need extra assistance. Elevators are available to take visitors to the general seating areas, where wheelchair accessible seating is available.

Concessions   Verizon officials determine which, if any, concession areas will be open for events;  it is possible that concessions will not be available  so please plan accordingly.
